Rongli is a beautiful, small village located in the foothills of the Himalayas. It's a quaint little town in the eastern part of the country and one of the most ancient routes to Kapup and Nathula. The Rongpo River crosses through the heart of Rongli, which is how it got its name. What makes Rongli such a unique and desirable tourist destination is its lush greenery, hilly terrain, and the peacefulness of the Himalayas.
The river Rongpo is a beautiful sight that divides the village in half, with natural walkways on either side. Rhenock is another small town in the area that is just as lovely. Rongli is one of the main hubs of trade and investment in the village and thus is a major hub in eastern Sikkim.
Rongli is a major destination that connects to Gangtok, which includes Lingtam, Zuluk, and Reshi. On the way to Rongli, there are other destinations that are worth stopping at, such as Dhupidhara, Keukhola waterfalls, Ghambari falls, Lungthung, Salamidhara, etc. These places will provide a much-needed respite for tired urban eyes! Although there's nothing great to see here, there is a trade center and Rongli market which are the main hub of attractions. Besides, you can just take an easy stroll across the lush green hilly walk.
